History

The Eye Surgery Center of the Carolinas was established in 1982 in Pinehurst/Southern Pines, North Carolina, by Dr. Robert Gale Martin and Dr. George Tate, Jr. as part of  Carolina Eye Associates.  Since 2007, the center has become a member with Surgical Care Affiliates, one of the largest providers of surgical care in the United States.
